We're in this together

Rarely in history have so many people from different walks of life been affected by the very same thing, but that’s the situation we find ourselves in right now as we continue the fight against COVID-19. With this in mind, filmmaker Harvey Marcus took to the streets of London to talk to people - at least two metres away, of course - about the impacts that the coronavirus has had on their lives. In the short film he has created to support the #TOGETHER FUND, we meet key workers, the elderly, and even a few celebrities, as they recite a poem created by Harvey that sums up the spirit of togetherness.

“The fight is worth the win”, says Wayne Rooney, football megastar and captain of Derby County football club. “The best teams never give up or give in” continues Lucy Bronze, #TOGETHERBAND ambassador for Goal 5: Gender Equality and England Lionesses footballer.

“Your struggle is mine”, is the message from a delivery driver, while actor Amy Manson urges us that we are each “a superhero, with or without a mask”. Mental health advocate and blogger Xenia, musician Oli and actor Gethin Anthony also feature. The message of the film is simple - whether you’re a postal worker or a doctor, a professional football player or an actor, we are in this together.
